I've been gone for a while, and I missed you guys!!!!
After I got over my stomach flu last week, I came back to a horrendous amount of work (I'm talking 13-hour days at that cursed school), and then I went out of town, and just got back on Monday. I have been pretty busy this week but I got a chance to talk with one of my line sisters last night, who is pretty much the best at nutrition and fitness, and was able to get re-motivated despite how tired/sick I have been.
There are 30 days until a birthday trip I'm taking with my friends, and I REALLY want to wear this dress:
Skimpy AND white?
The nerve.
But alas, the heart wants what the heart wants. And my heart wants - NEEDS - that dress!

I started 30-Day Shred today, and restarted eating a low-carb diet (hallelujah). I am also cutting out most of the chemicals in my diet in favor of organic foods that my body can naturally process. I am also going to try out not eating after 7:30 as well.
Today, I ate Greek yogurt with two Tb of organic granola and 1 organic brown egg for breakfast. I ate two clementine oranges for lunch, and am about to eat a mixed organic spinach salad with organic miso ginger vinaigrette and curry chicken masala I made in the crockpot. I am still looking for some low-carb lunch options, but I wasn't that hungry today.
I'm not sure what I weigh now, but I will check-in after my cycle - I guess getting sick pushes it back? I know it's TMI, but has anyone else had that experience?
The plan for now is to do the Shred on Monday - Friday, and then Just Dance on the weekends. This will take me over the 30 days because it will take me two weeks to do one level instead of 10 days, but I don't mind.
Once I'm finished, I will probably pick up training for the 3.2 in April, and after that, will probably start swimming for the summer, since it's one of my favorite ways to exercise.
Once it gets colder, I will probably pick up the Shred again and move from the beginner mode to the advanced. After that, I will probably do it again and increase my weights.
After that I will pick up something else -- in the back of my mind, I have always wanted to try P90X, but I'm definitely not ready for that anytime soon.
I always have trouble committing but I am trying to make daily exercise a habit, so I am going to make sure I do it everyday for at least the next 30 days to build a routine. The workout is short, so I really have no excuses, and I think 20 minutes a day is the perfect amount of time that I can set aside every single day for the rest of my life.

As far as making 2012 my year, I have been slacking a bit but I am better off than I was. I am still faithfully tithing but I am finding it hard to get in that 1 hour of daily study. Surprisingly, the DVD I ordered has still not arrived, so I will have to check on that at church on Sunday.
In any case, I will definitely continue to work on this in the future.
I usually try to get a prayer in to and from work (about 30 minutes roundtrip), but I really do need to be getting taught so I can get to know the Word a lot better.
